I know you’re young and shit seems complicated. But “moneygrab” is what the rest of us do. It’s called a day job. :)

This is seven and a bit tracks from the KCRW Morning Becomes Eclectic session. (Note that you can stream the audio and the video from the KCRW page). The recording is high quality and contains some tracks that didn’t make it to the album. The track listing is as follows:
- Mt. Morgan
- Hunger Song

- You Say (Ninth Ave Reverie)
- Lie Thee Down
- Time Through The End
and is cut into tracks and tagged ready to load onto your personal music device.

The venue is this, a music/surf store owned by the founder/owner of Spunk Records. Reading between the lines, I think Jack Ladder might be filling in for a cancelled Middle East show.
I wonder if he will play any Middle East songs. Marf Loth are old pals of the band from Townsville so it wouldn’t be too surprising if they joined Jordan for a few songs.
(thanks to Jack for sending this in)
Reportedly “he will be playing “previously unheard” material and covers, as well as playing in Marf Loth”
- Here is the Facebook Event page for the Marf Loth tour. There are other dates listed, most of which have already happened. “Jordan Ireland (T.M.E) will be playing drums and or guitar (assuming he can play drums).”

cruzma would like to know about the painting on the “Recordings of The Middle East” cover. Does anyone know the story behind that? Does the CD insert mention who the artist is?
It’s by Joe’s wife, Imogen Guest. You can see more of her art here. (Thanks guys).

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN :
writing to inform you that we’re ceasing. i’m not sure if we’ll make more music later on or not.
we don’t feel like playing anymore for a whole lot of reasons that i won’t list here and i’m afraid if we continued any longer it would just be a moneygrab. i’d rather go hungry. thank you to all those who came to shows.
we had fun.
t.s elliot wrote ‘you are the music while the music lasts’, but he also wrote that confusing little book about cats so don’t put too much stock in his quotes.
i’m very tired. until next time.

The band’s manager Mel Lake told us today, “I can confirm that both Rohin and Jordan said that their performance at Splendour yesterday would be their last show. To say anything beyond that would be speculative…”
That’s highly informative isn’t it. I don’t think she knows any more than we do. Read the article here.

(Let’s hold virtual hands and watch this together…)
On a positive note, I’m pretty sure this isn’t the last we will hear from Rohin, Jordan, and the rest of the guys. I think it’s safe to say that whatever they end up doing will be amazing. And I don’t think anyone would rule out a reunion, maybe once Rohin decompresses for a bit and learns how deal with the rock-n-roll lifestyle… :)
Update: how quiet are the audience at 6:30..
